Ibrahim Bomai has brought joy to the hearts of numerous number of women across Yobe South Senatorial District that are in the business of frying Akara, the women were supported with beans and groundnut oil, speaking at the flag off at Maman Musa Akara joint, Malam Idriss whom we met at the joint state that, “this kind of gesture by Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai will refuce or eliminate women vulnerability and dependency”, he went further to add that, “This direct action will benefit our mothers in caring for themselves and will help some who takes care of orphans under their care.
This gesture is part of Senator Bomai’s commitment in championing the progress and development of his constituency, by supporting owners of small scale businesses, this came barely a week following the distribution of parliatives to the people of Yobe South Senatorial District to cussion the effects of lockdown as a result of Corona Virus epidemic (COVID-19), were 14,000 households benefited from the distribution of the food items.
Earlier today, Distinguished Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has flag off the distribution of food items ranging from millet, maize and sorgum to poor and vulnerable households across Yobe South Senatorial District, the distribution of the parliative is with the view to cussioning the effects of the lockdown in response to Covid-19 pandemic and to assist the needy in this month of Ramadan.
The Zonal flag off took place in Nangere LGA chaired by Yobe State Deputy Governor Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana who was ably represented by Engineer Umaru Duddaye, Commissioner of works, the occasion is honored by several digniteries from Yobe State Executive Council, members of Yobe State house of assembly, royal fathers, party executives, elders, youths and women.
According to the Chairman of Bomai Support Group Alhaji Muhammadu Bodori, he express that this gesture by Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai came at the right time when economic activities worldwide is affected by the energence of Covid-19, which inturn has plunge several people into hard situation, in which Yobe South is not an exception.
He further revealed that not less than 14,000 poor and vulnerable households will benefit from this initiative, he commended the effort of Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai for facilitating and sponsoring the distribution of the food items to the less priveledge.
As a reknown philastropist, you may recalled that for morethan a decade Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has been donating trailer loads of food items to the less priveledge in each holy month of Ramadan. This unimaginable gesture did not come to the people of Yobe South as a suprice, because Senator Bomai is in the habit of helping the less priveledge for time immemorable.
In a bid to reduce women vulnerability and dependency in all sphere of life in Yobe South, distinguished Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai in his first phase of women empowerment programme is set to empower thousands of women across Yobe South Senatorial District.
Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai’s Zonal Committee in collaboration with APC ward executives will choose a number of women in each of the 44 wards of Yobe South senatorial district where Senator Bomai visited to canvass for votes in the 2019 election, Alhaji Usman Arjali who led the committee said the funds would help the women support their small businesses or even start new ones to support their families.
Alhaji Adamu Nagwaza in his remark state that Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai’s move to empower women in each ward has confirmed Senator Bomai’s desire to operate an inclusive representation devoid of gender inequality, sectionalism and any other affiliation.
He went ahead to add that, this move is commendable as it is geared towards reducing poverty in the communities and enhancing economic activities.
Our attention has been drawn to the campaign of calumny and mischievous claims by the antics of our political progress who for reason best known to them have resorted to misleading members of the public on some developmental projects being executed within the district.
Ordinarily, we ought to have ignore their baseless claims if not for the sake of putting the record straight and save the constituents from fallen victims of their wild lies. To say the least, they are just purveyors of Fake News.
It is highly unfortunate that Mohammed Hassan and his group of unpatriotic and selfish persons have been employing all kinds of machinations, character assassination and blatant lies to abuse the minds of our good people from the focussed and well intentioned implementation of the 2019 constituency projects by our bonafide Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai.
It is not in doubt that the 2019 constituency projects were conceived during the tenure of Mohammed Hassan. However, since he ceased to be the senator whether himself or his gang of supporters have no right and are not responsible for the implementation of the projects as this is the absolute responsibility of the present Senator Bomai.
If not for the unnecessary interference by the embattled former Senator, by now Senator Bomai could have already have finished with the implementation of the 2019 projects.
In spite of that, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai is committed to ensuring that all the 2019 projects that could not be implemented during the tenure of Mohammed Hassan are not only implemented but qualitatively delivered to the satisfaction of our constituency.
